Following on from the announcement made by the Government yesterday afternoon, I would like to confirm that we will be following the guidance shared. Therefore we ask that if your child has a new and persistent cough and /or has a high temperature of 37.8 degrees or above, that they should stay at home for seven days, even if they feel well in themselves. This advice is for pupils and family members and we ask that you do not come into school if you have these symptoms. As a school we will contact parents if we feel that your child has developed these symptoms. Please continue to inform us of absences in the usual way.
This also applies to staff and any absence will be managed with the safety and education of your children as our priorities.
Please see further advice in relation to this new measure here: https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19. We will of course be in touch again if and when new guidance is received. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in these extremely challenging circumstances.
