The School originated in l885 and was under the patronage of Sir Edward and Lady Margaret Blount of Imberhorne Manor. It became Voluntary Aided a few years later. Sir Edward also founded the local Catholic parish church and links between the school and the parish have been maintained throughout the years. The Blount coat of arms, and that of the Diocese and local authority are incorporated into the memorial window, installed in l99l on completion of the building extension.
